Today as I was leaving work I was running about 20 minutes behind and in a bit of a hurry. As I pulled up to the highway there was a pickup coming, for some reason I decided to wait on it, I could have pulled out but with the 20 yr old diesel jetta the truck probably would have had to slow down maybe a little as I got up to speed if at all, Anyway I pulled out right behind it and quickly caught up. about 3 miles up the road a high school was getting out, for some reason one of the cars pulled into our lane and hit the pickup head on.. The guy was in a 3/4 ton extended cab Ford, he was walking in a matter of minutes, but the kids in the car were pinned in, its not pretty but air bags did save their lives.... I don;t know why I didn't pull out in front of the truck but I do know that at 60 MPH I don't have airbags in the car. As I look back its just kinda eerie.... it should have been me.

No, because fate is supposedly predetermined. But, that's easy to say with hind sight and would indicate an external force which I don't believe. Eevents happen the way they do because of the millions of decisions that people make or don't make every day. It's too easy to slap the word fate on an event because no matter what has happended the believer simply says " it was fate".
