If I was meeting the person in a social setting I would just engage in ordinary conversation. If I was meeting the person in a public situation such as an elevator... I would just let them be.
All of the above is cancelled if that famous person just happened to be Eddie Vedder... then I would faint. I truly hope this doesn't happen... no one looks very good when they faint.
