do unemployment payments need to be counted?

I am on unemployment right now but it should stop in February---unless there is an extention.

If you are wondering if unemployment payments need to be counted as income for IRS purposes, the answer is YES.  You should receive a form called 1099-G regarding the benefits received during 2011.  Make sure amounts in any of the boxes are reported as necessary.

Hi Ducka...it's my job til the filing period ends. Enjoyable, hectic at times, exhausting mentally after 8 hours NONstop. :D
