    startup menu and desktop items don't appear on booting up. How can i fix this

    Screen opens in normal way with screen saver, but neither start button nor program icons appear.  What can I do.

      probably have to do a 'restore'


      Alternate:  restart computer and keep tapping F-11,  select 'safe mode' when the screen comes up


      If this doesn't do it  you probably will  have to reinstall the window program


      Check to see if you have a boot up or restore disk.
