    Crossword puzzles, puzzles etc, are supposed to be good in staving off Alsheimr's disease, how about reading - books - a lot?

    I liked  the answers to my question - but - just noticed that I did not spell "Alzheimer's" correctly - probably on my way there already, however I will just keep on reading.  Thanks!

    Yes.  Reading is also recommended.

    Recommended... from the experiences I have had with Alzheimers it is difficult to say if the progress of deterioration is slowed down.  Sad and true.

    Yes...they just don't know much about it...my mother passed with it, so I've been an observer of it in her and others. :(

    It's a tough one :(

    Do any thing that keeps your brain active ,is good.

    It has recently been suggested that physical exercise is more important. Elderly people should walk at least 30 minutes per day.
