    Help if I have two jugs one is 3 gallons and one is 5 gallons how do I get exactly 4 gallons from those two jugs.

    I saw this in a movie but I did not see the answer to it?

      Fill the 5 gallons jug with the 3 gallons jug twice. This leaves you with 1 gallon in the 3 gallon jug. Fill the 3 gallon jug and pour that into the 5 leaving you with exactly 4 gallons in the 5.
