You truly have to be honest with yourself, and ask yourself why when you are in the process of dealing with people. It's a step that has to take place before rationalizing or justifying its occurence. Some people might call it clarity, which interestingly enough, children seem to possess more at times than adults. For sometimes as we get older, we often get a little too familiar with justifying and rationalizing things, rather than just seeing things for what they are. Myself, I've always loved philosophy and the study of it, as it often examines cultural beliefs, contemporary morals, and the history of them, and how they've evolved, i.e.; moral philosophy.
