I think of SELF ESTEEM as the positive feeling I have about myself in relation to the quality of person I think I am verses the quality person I strive to be. If I feel that I am nowhere near being the person I want to be, I will think less of myself and have "low" self-esteem. If I feel that I have attained the quality I seek, or am close, I will think well of myself and have "high" self-esteem.
