      What sort of orange tree? I planted a Seville by mistake (wrongly labelled as navel) and the fruit is inedible, I give it to a friend and she makes marmalade.They also benefit from a good frost before the fruit is mature (according to the friend that makes the marmalade)

        not wanting to be a broken record, but have you contacted your Cooperative Extension Service through your state university, as they have professional experts in these areas, and they may be able to make a field farm visit to help.
