        HI  40 OVER 200  CAN BE WRITTEN AS    40/200  =   4/20  =   1/5  AS THIS CAN NOT BE SIMPLIFIED ANY MORE THIS IS THE SIMPLIST FRACTION


        FROM THIS EXAMPLE  YOU FIRSTLY CROSS A ZERO OFF THE TOP ROW AND THE BOTTOM ROW THIS GIVES YOU 4/20  YOU THEN LOOK AT THE RESULT AND SEE IF YOU CAN FIND A NUMBER WHICH WILL DIVIDE INTO BOTH NUMBERS   2 IS THE OBVIOUS BUT EQUALLY 4 WILL DIVIDE INTO 20 GIVING YOU THE ANSWER    1/5
