If I buy Magic jack at a local store (I live in Ottawa Ontario Canada) can I keep my same phone number that i have with bell? How do I get connected, I've tried several Phone numbers from the net and none seems to answer? How long does it take to get transferred from Bell to MJ? Do you call Bell and let them know that I am transferring to you? After first year how much? I heard that i will get free long distance to Canada & USA, but what about the Bahamas, how much is that? Also I would like a P

MagicJack does work...free long distance within USA and CANADA....no you cannot keep your same telephone number....no you do not call Bell as they have absolutely nothing to do with MagicJack...all of the information including answers to hundreds of questions is available on their website and...finally, no, you cannot talk to them as they communicate via their website just as many other businesses do these days. There is no problem in connecting or getting a telephone number. I have it myself and it takes about 2 minutes to feed in your information, get a number and it's done. See www.MagicJack.com

That's changed, they have magic jack plus now where you do get to keep your phone number and you can now use that number anywhere in the world. :)

Oh that's right. I did just hear about MJ/PLUS but didn't pay much attention. I remember that their ad said that you no longer need a computer...you can just plug into the wall. So, keep your number and world wide? They are literally taking over the world. The only thing that I don't like about it, is the 2 second delay when you are talking...annoying and hard to get used to.
