It's just an expression. Laughing so hard that the rear end shakes hard to the point it could fall off. It's not meant to be taken literally.
why did you use the $ instead of s? you confussed shimmer; check the dictionary and my answer please :)

I use the $ because I try not to type out what some consider to be swear words. We have kids on this site too. I have them in mind and try to speak like I would around them.
