There are actually a few different ways to write and say hello in Japanese! The first thing that you need to know is that "hello" is different depending on the time of day it is. Ohayo (ohayo gozaimasu) is for the morning, Konnichiwa is for afternoon, and Konbanwa is used at night! All of these can be written in western characters, like I've written them here, or in Kanji.
