Is putting valuable items in a bank safety deposit box a good idea rather than keeping them at home?

What would go in a bank safety deposit box? Gold and silver items? Deed?

Just remember -Those boxes are sealed when death occurs, so not a good idea to put your will in there.

Depends on what kind of safe you have at home. My safe is almost 1000 lbs empty. 1/2 inch plate steel door. I'm not saying somebody can't break into it or take it, but I think they would have fun trying.

YES A GOOD IDEA, have you and someone else allowed to get into it in case of death and the estate freezes it, but with someone else it is there box also............have someone you trust , spouse, family member, etc........
