Are you speaking of RAM memory? Are you sure you have the right kind? Are you sure the laptop will support that much? If so, there should be a removable panel on the bottom. Unplug it and remove battery first!!!

I wasn't sure myself, thought maybe a camera card too. Who knows? They never explain well.

Have you tried Compaqs tech support? http://www.compaq.com/country/cpq_support.html or at least looked around your computer for a slot it goes into?
