I had it long time ago barbequed, it tasted quite well. But the guys that cooked it were a bunch of backwards ass country folks that lived that kind of country life. The type that value their coon dog over their wife. You probably got an old one. I dont really care to eat another though.

I LOVE potato chips; they are how I understand what an addiction must be like, because I can't say "no", or "no more", or just walk away from them. I gave them up for six weeks (Lent) and have managed to steer clear of them since. It's a personal struggle and choice; chips NOT made of potato are OK, so it's not impossible.

the native americans in N. Michigan claim it's a delicacy. They eat snapping turtle too up there. Not just the indians either....my late uncle's friends did.

I hate jalapenos as well. Don't like the taste, if you ever get a glimpse of it, and I hate the heat, overwhelms everything else!! Not worth the trouble....too many other good tasting foods out there instead....!

My cousin uses it to "pad" alot of meals in which she doesn't use much meat. The tofu tends to take on the flavor of the meat, but the texture is poor, like your kids said.

Tomatoes!??! Absolutely one of my fave foods, ever!!! Why so terrible? To me they are so innocent and available for so many different dishes! Never heard of someone so violently opposed to tomatoes...........

Fried oysters! They got half way down and came right back up!! Was the texture, I'm sure, as they were fresh and not smelly. There isn't much I won't eat, but that is one!! Never again. Raw.....fa'get about it!!

Perhaps, though I've known people who didn't care for them, I've never known of anyone who seems to despise as much as you do. Do you eat marinara sauce, chili, tomato soup, or NONE of it??
