    How many kilobits are in a megabit ?

    Is same 20.000 kilobits like 20 megabit ?

    kilo stands for 1000  ( one thousand )


    mega stands for 1000000 ( one million )


    Therefore, there are 1000 kilobits in 1 megabit.


     Therefore, 20 megabits = 20000 kilobits.


    For normal mathematics, the above is alright.


    But, if you are working in the computer design field, then 1 kilobit is equal to 1024 bits (not 1000 bits).
