    Multiply by the scale factor   (2 x 1/2,    4 x 1/2)

    Simplify     (1,     2)

    Graph 

    A dilation is shrinking or enlarging a shape proportionately.  The original shape is labeled (A, for example).  The dilated shape would be labeled A'
