On friend handed me a litle bag full of quarters (coins) saying: "Here is the 7 dollars I owe you". If he was correct and honest how many quarters should I expect to find in this bag?

Anyone interested in much more difficult tests shoud go on line to:

     "Welcome to Test yourself!"

Your brain has areas for different skills, and you can develop a range of talents.

You have areas for music and maths, language and physical ability and even an area for imagining things in three dimensions.

Tease your brain and find out what you're good at.

I just read your comment to Colleen about Eggplant and am disappointed.  The family here doesn't harass each other like that.  Please stop "testing" us.  We are good people who try to help people with their problems and put smiles on each others' faces.
    p.s.  There are 4 quarters in $1.00     28 quarters in $7.00

I am shocked and disappointed too by your overreactions. I already answered that my intention was to test. Although nothing wrong with “testing” I am thinking now that stimulating was a better description of my intention. I checked all the synonims for “harass” I didn’t find “test” among them: harass Synonyms:annoy, attack, bait, bedevil, beleaguer, bother, bug*, bullyrag, burn*, despoil, devil*, distress, disturb, eat*, exasperate, exhaust, fatigue, foray, get to, give a bad time, give a hard time, gnaw, harry, hassle, heckle, hound, intimidate, irk, irritate, jerk around, macerate, maraud, noodge, pain*, perplex, persecute, pester, plague, raid, rattle one's cage, ride, strain, stress, tease, tire, torment, trouble, try, vex, weary, work on, worry.

    Keep smiling please.

    Thank you, dowsa! WELL SAID!

valR: You asked a redundant question to "test" an intelligent person because you thought eggplant made a mistake on a previous question? I'm going to use "heckle" as the best synonym for what you did here.
The other day I made an error on a math problem eggplant had also answered. Eggplant left a comment pointing out I had copied the problem wrong.
That's the spirit we foster here. Most of us are not going to answer our own question and then mark it as "best answer", either. (And, please note your BEST ANSWER didn't answer the question.)
Colleen asked you point blank, "Why do you keep pushing this?" I can see a lot more synonyms that fit your actions.
    :D (SMILE), per your request.

Start counting you have the bag we don't and if he paid you in quarters in a bag perhaps he was sending  you a message.

    Is this a trick question?

I am actually testing "eggplant". Check "ep" answer to "how many quarts in 7 galons" Q...

She got it right, end result of her equation was 28. 28 was the correct answer. Why do you keep pushing this?

    4 X 7 = do your home work.
