Start by respecting yourself which I suspect you don't.

Well Mr. President, (  obama  ) not too many people think you are a true american born, your close friends are losers, the people that vote for you are losers, you dont have any answers to Americas problems, and so on, . By the way, i dont ever want to see another ramadan dinner at the white house again. I thought you are not muslim. We all know you are.

Your wording is similar to "I didn`t do nothing" that ones hears repeatedly from the mouths of the uneducated. If they "didn`t do nothing" then they must have done "something"

Your probably asking too much of people - your probably too demanding,too selfish and disrespectful. try looking at yourself first

Sometimes it is just not as simple as that.  I try very hard to be considerate and respect others to a point until they treat me badly then I try to stay away from those type people.  But I do try, and like you I feel like especially at work I get no respect.

What are you complaining about???  If you don't get "NO" respect, you must get at least SOME respect.  Don't double-negative !   ANY....I don't get ANY respect.  But I'm used to it!

mecharles thank you for this question.  respect is one of my primetime passions to talk about. mecharles generally any person gets the degree of respect that they deserve.  when i hear parents say, "my child does not respect me."  After going into their home.  They child is treating the parent exactly precisely like the parent has treated the child.  That's what helped me develop my theory on this topic.  mecharles i do not know what has happened in your life.  However, you and only you can throw off the bad things and focus on what is good about you.  The more you appreciate yourself, the more others will love and respect you.  How people treat us is a reflection of how we treat and look at ourselves.  Love yourself and associate with people who appreciate you and what you do and say.  Don't blame others.  Move forward for yourself.

A double negative implies that you do get respect. Perhaps you misunderstand others by causing them to misunderstand you. Try speaking English properly. And doing everything else mindfully too. Who knows, those simple matters may see respect coming your way.
