Go pick up a copy of HOW TO SURVIVE THE LOSS OF A LOVE.  It's relatively inexpensive and very healing.  You can read it in one night............It will take you through your grief, make you cry, allow you to laugh, it helps to heal you............

My condolences on your loss. 

We all handle the loss of a loved one differently. I've lost two step fathers through the years and each effected me differently. I loved them both equally. They are in my thoughts everyday. I focus on the good things, even though there were some not so good memories. There are no magic words to take away the pain.

They say time is a healer It dose not really grief takes a very long time for you to be able to talk about your love one bringing up past memoires.good times funny moments thats getting over a little .You will have happy and,sad moments .How long we are all different in as much that some people can cope after a while .My Condolences to you on your sad loss.Take care of yourself your loved one would want that.  

it takes time and it never leaves you, it become part of who you are. after 6 years (I lost my stunning wife) it can still feel like a kick in the guts at the smallest trigger ie a smell, sound or colour.

just remember all that was good and treasure it. ;-)

It is different with every person I know believe me I am truly sorry for your loss even knowing those words do nothing to ease your pain.  I wish I knew the answer still not handling death of my Mom well at all.
