YES…. (boy are ever hard to understand) like crust I think you mean bread and that means money that kind of hard to understand. It’s cool though don’t get me wrong I like it.

No not in the UK. but there is an interesting programme running on the television at the moment called "Living with the Amish" where teenagers from here go to stay with them to learn their culture. Yes I do know there was a recent scandal in the USA recently concerning the Amish. However, I have always admired them.

Not at the moment.  A few years back they began building an enormous church about 30 minutes from my home.  I met quite a few followers then... nice people actually.  No different than me except the non-dancing ... Seriously, the Church is something else.

There were advertisements exactly how you have described but it's pretty quiet now.

NO.  I have not seen any kinds of ads on the TV for Mormon recently.  I think they have had some in the past, but not in the "spirit" you have described....more about family orientation.

Yes There are ads in the midwest USA I think because 1 of the people running for president is Mormon and they want all to know they are just normal folks!

I lean toward skepticism after years of hearing every group with a story. I keep my own council and practice a religion of faith,love, understanding and peace. Evangelical zealots are best avoided and dismissed at the door. Mormon history in the US has been peppered with shock and awe. In communities where they have strength, non members find their neighbors covertly hostile. Like so many Christian groups a strong belief in sacrifice is extended into their associations. Here, the non-Mormans apply sacrifice in sending their children off to war as a personal family sacrifice to save the more worthy members….whereas with Mormons  seem to prefer to purge the earth of heathens by gradual up-rooting and reduction quietly. Seems like so many groups are anti-cultural when not their own….without inclusion. Common to all such groups is a Eugenic haze in their mystic vision of reality.

Groups seeking to gain a footing in an area do a public intro as sweet, loving people, all candy and no rats. They tend to close off their home life into compounds and operate community stores in their support and expand as needed for the benefit of their numbers. The spread of Mormonism tends to be advertised in the target area only for now.
