The other day I was playing a dice game with my son. The game uses 6 dice. I rolled the six dice onto the table. They were ALL fours. He looked up the odds of doing that and it was something over 40,000:1.
We had a similar question the other day. You need to figure out all the different combinations of the 7 dice in order to get the answer. I'm going to look for other questions, as I already answered this kind of question last week.

How many combinations would there be? Is the formula 6 to the 7th power? If so, what would the probability of 4 dice matching in those combinations? If I'm on the wrong track here, please help me out. Thanks.
I will admit, we did not do the math on this one. He found the answer using his cell phone. But think about just two dice and the possibilities there:
1, 1
2, 1
