      I hear they are safe enough, just don't hand toss salad when wearing them.

        They can be very hazardous to your health.  Ask your manicurist about the dangers of the acrylic nail and what alternatives there are.  If you don't get a straight answer, go elsewhere.

          I think they also don't let your nails breathe.
