Yes it always was cokey, well in the Uk anyway. May be the American version is Pokey,
It's Pokey in North America. It's politically correct considering where we are located and you know the stuff going on in Mexico... don't want to give children any bad ideas.

I'm not sure what the hokey pokey is all about. But "IT" is all about putting your left foot in and your left out, and your left in and shaking it all about. Then, after you do that, you do the hokey pokey (whatever that is); following that, you turn yourself about. That's what IT is all about. What "IT" is-- well, that's anybody's guess. :D
