OK, now we know when you wake up, so

..................when do you hit the sack?  Do you have any nighttime rituals?  Do you read or watch TV in bed?   Do you go right to sleep?  What do you wear to bed?  Which side of the bed do you sleep on?  Flannel, satin, or cotton sheets?  How many pillows?  Electric blanket?
JUST KIDDING.    WHAT TIME DO YOU GO TO BED?

Bob I dont sleep with sheets .Only as mother nature intended ,as a matter of fact I sleep on the floor.Reason I get pushed out of bed by my spouse
    Bob/PKB

I had no bed last year, so slept on the floor. It was actually comfortable. This year, I've upgraded to a couch.

I go to bed when I am completely exhausted.  I have three tables filled with pottery that is in differents stages of painting... I am on a bit of a roll.  I hope the firing goes well... Can I ask for a pottery prayer?

When I do get into bed and my head hits my collection of fluffy pillows, I am out like a light!

I have one nightmare lately and that involves a person whom I thought was my friend... it would seem this is not true.  In my nightmare I get really really angry with her.  In the real world, I choose to walk away.

Flannel all over the place (It is so cold at the moment) and no electric blanket but now that you mention it... Now on the Chrissie List!

Back to work!  Big hugs all around!  Stay warm or cool everyone depending on your local!

    Bob/PKB

It is easy to picture you toiling with your pottery until you actually do fall into bed, asleep before your head hits the pillows!
    Benthere

You got it...you are on my prayer list.

It used to be around 10pm, but since I lost my job and discovered this site I,m lucky if I go before 1am I really must try to restore some structure to my days , it,s not easy I luv it in this little world of mine and yours.

    Bob/PKB

I hear you, Romos. I have to hide the computer from myself!
I hope you get a job soon, but it's great to have you here!
    leosmaml

you sound something like me ROMOS,i seem to be suffering from insomnia some nights too.Hence the reason its 2 30am,wide awake and flitting between my akaqa pals and writing Christmas cards.Circa 8am ill fall in a heap!

Having found akaQA,it has really thrown my sleeping pattern about.I could be on here as daylight is breaking and the birds are chirping, that is when i start to panic because i have to be up at 7.30AM to get my grandson off to school. As for getting into bed, nothing special takes place as long as i have my pillow,it is a memory foam pillow that is just beautiful to put your head on(haven't had a headache since using it).As for sheets they are a quality cotton i cannot stand cheap ones that end up with pilling. My 2 black cats accompany me and it's lights out.

    Bob/PKB

Your scenario sounds very comfortable! The memory pillow sounds like a good investment.
    lambshank

pythonlover, I bought a couple of memory foam pillows but can't get used to them

Early to rise, early in the sack.We live in the heart of the city but we sleep like farmers.

Usually in bed by 9:00pm. get up & start the day by 5:00am.

One of my oldest sayings is 'An hour in the morning is worth 2 in the afternoon'. Hence the early start. There is always plenty to do.

No silk PJs for me.I have heaps of Qantas PJs.The complimentary ones you get when you fly Business class. They're comfy & cool.

I hate satin or silk sheets.I feel like I'm gunna slide out of bed.LOL

    Bob/PKB

:D Thanks for your answer, Tommyh. It does seem that when I get up early, more gets done, even if it really doesn't. Ya just feel like you've already accomplished something!

I'm up as though I have a night shift job. So, about 4am I start to get tired. About 4:30am, I'm asleep. Only to wake up at 9:30am. I sleep on the right side of my bed, and I wear silk pajamas to bed. The sheets are cotton, and I have five pillows on my bed. I sleep on two pillows, and for some strange reason I hold one. I set the TV to turn itself off.

This question was asked within the pass hour. It is 1:58am(EST), what time do you go to bed?

    Bob/PKB

Hi chelleanne: Right now, I don't even have a bed, but when I DID, I slept on the left side (if you are lying face up). Sheets were flannel or cotton, two pillows for my head, but 6 on the bed. Clothing optional :0 I also set the TV to shut off after an hour and turn the volume way down. What time? Almost always after midnight. Sometimes I am "here" until 4:30 AM and up at 8:30 AM. Generally, it's about 1:30-2 when I shut down. The cat immobilizes me by laying on my abdomen. The dog prevents my escape from the cat by laying right at my side. It's 12:30 AM now and I have to be up at 6....
    winfia

MsB - If you don't have a bed, where may I ask do you sleep?

it varies sometimes i'll stay up after midnight if theirs a good movie on , we always watch tv in bed it's probably why i don't sleep  well.

    Bob/PKB

There is a TV in my bedroom, but I think the radio is a better choice...easy listening. I think you're right about watching TV and not sleeping well.

Anytime really, depends how I feel. Usually asleep by 1:30 AM. Sometimes in bed other times on the couch. Never sleep nude (Don't want to poke holes in the furniture). Separate beds. If on the couch, toes facing Mecca.

    Bob/PKB

So, if you've fallen asleep on the couch, does the missus wake you and tell you to go to bed? It always seemed odd to wake someone and tell them to go to bed.
    ed shank

She's at one end of the house watching her shows or reading. I'll be doing whatever at the far end. No she wouldn't walk to wake me, she'll hit the intercom and see if I'm awake.

Sleep what is sleep??? Just kidding.... I cant go to sleep until the monkeys are sound asleep. So some days I am in bed by 9:30 some 1 am. I clean my kitchen counters every night before I go to bed, whether they need it or not. Take the dogs out for their last potty break and make sure the kids are all covered up. I snuggle into bed with my hubby (who went to bed at 9) . Just panties if that... I cant sleep with clothes on I think I am being choked. I dont even use a flat sheet. I have a comforter on the bed and I put a huge heavy blanket on top of that.

The tiny pomeranian sleep in bed with us and the male pom sleeps under the bed. At night we call him 'the troll'. I dont have a tv in my room. If it were up to me we would not have one at all. But I have to admit I watch while I am chillin out waiting on bed time.

    Bob/PKB

Ah....these are the days you will remember with a smile, Jenn. How I would like to have a couple of those good times back. Cherish every minute, even the crazy ones.

If wife is home I'm in bed about 10:00, otherwise between 11 & 12. Sleep w/ one pillow on left side, cotton sheets, & clothing goes into hamper where it belongs.

    Bob/PKB

You sound like a "normal" person. Are you?
TU and thank you aren't working for me on your answer, Flip. I've tried several times. :l
    Flip

    NORMAL?? Heehee. OF COURSE! Heehee.
Reminds me of the question on here about, "How do you know you are sane"?

Bed about 12. I wear the pj's God made for me. One size fits all. They were a great fit when I was born and they still fit great. Would need ironed as there are some wrinkles. I wash them when I have a shower . I just were them under my clothes all day. That is handy.

    Flip

Set the iron on it's lowest setting when you iron the pj's!
    friendindeed

Flip... Another problem is I dont have a pocket for my sweets. Also when I walk around outside in them people look in amazement Can you tell me why.
    Bob/PKB

People are just envious of you, friendindeed. Maybe a little in awe, too.
    friendindeed

Hi Bob... If I am embarrassed they get red. When calm they are white.
    Bob/PKB

Well, you know, they say people come in all different colors!!!!

Normally in bed by 10-30pm & watch TV (on timer) for about an hour or on PC. Always sleep on the right hand side of the bed - winter boxer short type PJs - summertime birthday suit.

    Bob/PKB

Sounds like a good routine to settle down and drift into a comfortable sleep!
I've TU and thanked you four time...not sure why this isn't going through.

My bed time averages to about 10:30.  I like to wake as early as my body will let me. I sleep on the left side of bed on cotton sheets with my head next to an opened window.......... I wear my dad's old PJ's.....

    Bob/PKB

I always pictured you on akaQA until the very wee hours of the morning! I have a sweater my dad used to wear. He died in 2001. Whenever I wear the sweater (just a cardigan type thing with a big hole in one armpit), I am warm.
    jhharlan

I also have my dad's letter sweater from the high school track team...It is over 65 years old. Maroon and white...........
    jhharlan

and I do stay up late on akaqa sometimes, that's why I wrote "average"........
    FISH-O

I wear a green sweater that belonged to my sister. I just love it.
    Curious creatures are we?!!
    Bob/PKB

My sister still has the majorette thing she wore in elementary school. I have a sweatshirt from high school. It was orange and black. Now it is nectarine and gray. That thing is over 40 years old.
And, I wear my kid's jr. high PE shorts to the gym. I paid for them, they fit, so they're mine.
    FISH-O

I have a very old Levi's hoody that is so covered in paint it is practically stiff down the front... this is my lucky creative hoody. If I find a penny and stick it in my shoe I know I am in for a truly brilliant day

my bedtime varies because of shiftwork, I was so tired yesterday I had a shower, got into my p.j's and was probably asleep by 7.30, but usually if I'm not at work I go to bed around 9pm, watch telly and catch up on emails, if I'm still awake around midnight I take something to help me sleep, I only like cotton sheets, sleep on 3 pillows and am usually restricted to the rhs of the bed , the cat has the rest. I have another cat that is addicted to the internet connection, she sleeps on that, hope it doesn't cause any sort of brain damage, she's not real bright now.

    Bob/PKB

You really do work too hard for people who don't care about themselves enough in the ways that are important! Keep an eye on that Internet Cat...she may connect to akaQA and start asking questions. (I did TU and thank you....not sure this is working properly)

Bob/PKB the internet cat could probably answer these questions a whole lot better than me, she often walks across the keyboard and Im never quite sure if she's changed or sent an answer

    Bob/PKB

LOL. My mom's little cat sits on top of the cable TV box. I suspect she will be changing the channels before too long. That would be OK with my son and me. Mom LOVES Sean Hannity, Bill O'Reilly, Greta Van Susteren, and Geraldo Rivera....OVER AND OVER AND OVER AND OVER AND OVER etc. etc.

My hub and I go to bed at 10 PM, that is if I can stay awake that long. Otherwise I'm in bed by 9:30. We have an Internet radio, which we have set on Coast-to-Coast to turn off in an hour. This time of year I am in long-sleeved PJs; always the left side of bed; 3 pillows. I wake up whenever, always by 7 am. I'm on AKA early morning and late afternoon. Hardly ever at night.

    ROMOS

It,s great that we all live in different time zones, that way we all get a chance to filter out the S**T and concentrate on the good and the wacky, wouldn,t have it any other way.
    winfia

    So true!
    Bob/PKB

...and I always look for you, winfia. Thanks for your answer.
    winfia

    Bob/PKB

It's OK. There are people who envy you those trips! I have the bad habit of checking in here about ten and next thing I know, it's 2-3 A.M. The TV is on, so the time really isn't an unknown....just choose to ignore.
Thanks for your answer. We'll keep the TMI on the pee hush-hush. :D
