Home distillation is illegal in most countries, but can still be done in New Zealand and possibly Australia. You can buy stills or make one with plumbing fittings, Here in France mobile distillers still exist called, 'bouillers de cru'. Today I took 100 litres of fermented plums to the distiller and got 9 litres of alcohol at 50%. Check out the site www.stillspirits.com.
