      Yes they bloody well do, got the scar to prove it, on my finger by the way, nothing to do with nuts.

          I would think they probably do bite if you get too close and they are in a bad mood or feel threatened.

            Yes they will, and they as mammals can carry rabies,  there is no certified rabies vaccine, thus it is illegal to keep them for pets.  Yet there are idiots who still insist on keeping them as pets.
