    before i turn on the shower tap, i turn on the bottom cold water tap but the water comes out of the shower tap right away instead of the bottom fawcet or pipe

      Make sure the lever that sends the water to the shower head is off.

        The lever is most likely located on the spout where the water should be flowing from. Push it down. (the lever)
