    Do dentures differ in quality?

    Like almost everything that is produced, yes. If you, or anyone else needs false teeth, and have the $, can tolerate the risk and have faith in the dentist, then implants are the way to go. I've had 4 with absolutely no problems. My dentist is fantastic. Get an idiot and you'll pay the price.

    Most  plastic dentures are made from poly methyl methacrylate which was introduced in the 1940's. They are all the same though workmanship may vary between technicians. A recent development is Valplast which is stronger so can be made thinner. Partial dentures are also made from chrome-cobalt alloy, which is much stronger but costs more.

    I've heard that some are chewier than others!
