A lot would depend on the type of television. Is it the old vacuum tube type, LED, orLCD? Different things will affect different types.

On the older type you want to be careful how close you allow magnets to be in proximity to it. Some speakers have extremely strong magnets. On LCD, you are not supposed to allow them to lay on their backs for long. LED might be sensitive to other things or conditions. You also need to be careful of what you use to clean the screens of each type. Sometimes you can clean them with whatever, but you could be setting yourself up for a problem later on, by not following the recomended procedure! You always want to read the directions of whoever designed it, as THEY ARE THE ONES THAT DESIGNED IT TO BE TREATED IN A CERTAIN MANNER!
