It depends on the age and health of the patient. I took care of a lady who was in her 90s..She was sharp mentally. They don't do surgery for a pelvic fracture, so it doesn't take as long to heal it as it does for a fractured hip surgery. At least that how the case went that I took care of.
I fell and cracked the end of my tail bone. The doctor said it could take up to 3 years to heal. It took "only" 2 years...did the "sideways sit" for a long, long, time. :(
