Of course that is where the problem is. Within the ear are the Eustachian tubes and they are like the liquid in a carpenters' level, When you go one angle off straight up vertical, the fluid pools to the other side, and the nerve endings sense it and you get your impulse to correctly act to avoid a fall. In case of vertigo, there is a deficiency in this system and you do not have that check and balance (pardon the pun). The meds correct the problem.
