    how does ear problems affect balance

    Yes an ear problem will affect your balance...dizziness, staggering, nausea.  You need to see a doctor for a diagnosis. 

    They taught us in nursing school, that for one thing, motion sickness is caused by the fluid in your middle ear sloshing around. Then,there's meneires  disease that has something to do with your middle ear making you very dizzy. I'll have to do some research on that and get back to you. My g.frined's husb has that and he said when he's in bed, it feels like the bed is turning end over end. EEWWW.
