    So many Thanksgiving cassaroels... My family loves them. But i dont want all of the sides to be cass.,

    Geen bean (yuck, but ubby and son love it), Squash, sweet potato, and them dressing which is pretty much a cass. How do I choose. What else should I make...

    I always make carrots and turnips.... boil carrots and turnips until they are soft.  Drain the water. Mash with butter, salt and pepper.... Voila!  Magic.  My family requires that I cook this for every holiday occasion.


    Another favorite is Roman peas................. easy peasy!


    Bacon fried and chopped


    Onion, chopped and saute'd in butter


    Cooked peas


    Combine all items add a little olive oil, stir together and serve............la la la! Magic!
