2L + 2W = 500 yards (You realize that you length could be as little as 4 yards and the width could be 246 yards. You need a little more information). Knowing the difference between the length and the width would make it a little easier. Let's say the length is 100 yards and the width is 150 yards. 2(100) + 2(150) = 500 200 + 300 = 500
In algebra, it would be: L = 2/3W 2L + 2W = 500
I need to know either L or W to create an equation that can be solved.
