i'd love to learn spainish..or even chineese, lots of people around the city i could communicate with..

Yes.  I like the idea of being able to communicate in another language.  The only problem with this is I don't have much call for it and that is why my French is in the bin.

I would like to learn conversational Chinese, Japanese, Korean and Russian.  I can communicate in   sign language to anyone and be understood. Gestures and pantomime are universal in their understanding without getting too precise. But literacy in language is precise in meaning although it can take a lot of the fun out of ordering lunch at a Chinese restaurant.    

I really, really want to and I intend to learn Spanish so I can speak with the Mexicans in my town who don't speak English. I studied Spanish in HS and College ... can understand it when spoken slowly, but can barely speak it.

Sure if I were going to visit or live in that country.
