    To find a percentage of increase from an old and new amount you do this!

    original = 32    new amount = 56

    Subtract the original amount  32 from the new amount. 56.....  56 - 32 = 24 > amount of increase.

    Then you make a ratio. Percentage increase ?/ 100 =  Amount of increase 24/ 32 (original amount)

                                                                 x/100 = 24/32 > 32x = 2400

                                                                                             ------     ------

                                          Divide by 32 on both sides      32       32   >   x = 75

    So, your answer is 75% increase.
