        was told it was a old law in england from the days of hiwaymen

        At a guess it would piss the horse off no end.


        The true story is in the old time when I was a young tear away a driver of a horse and carriage was legaly able to urinate against the near side rear wheel of his carriage.


        The covering law was "Cabbies privilege"
