    2(7+3t)= -t

    t = -2

    1. Multiply.... 2*7 + 2*3t = -t

                            14  +  6t    = -t

    2. Subtract  6t  from both sides.

         Problem now says...14 = -7t

    3. Divide -7t from both sides

         Problem now says...-2 = t

    Check problem by putting -2 in place of  ( t )

    2(7 + 3(-2) ) =  -t  >  14 + -12 =  - -2

                                               2       =     2  ( Remember double negatives makes a positive )

    2(7+3t)=-t

    i.e. 14 + 6t = -t

    i.e. 6t + t = -14

    i.e. 7t = -14

    i.e. t = -14/7

    So, t = -2

    Now solve the remaining problems with your friends.
