      Mono is supposed to be a once only illness....It's very contagious though, used to be called the sleeping disease but, you can get it drinking out of an infected water fountain.......

        I had mono in my late teens, and I was completely incapacitated for several weeks. .... Well for what it's worth, I contracted mono when I was 16 (22 years ago) and ... And maybe I am wrong, but I was pretty sure that once you get it, you can't get it again. ... If you already have a pet, though, could be great. ...
