    looking to find out what type of tree is in our yard

    Our tree has small smooth leaves with rough (serated) edges, it has green/yellow balls that have fallen from the tree, inside these balls are seeds that resemble walnuts.  What type of tree do we have?

      I've never seen a walnut tree but from what has been answered, I'd go with that......

        There are sites on the internet for identifying trees.

          It might be a black walnut. If the nuts are very hard and almost impossible to crack that may be it.
