Every one has something to say these days . You could do political satire. You could contact any number of screen printing places and do camera ready art work for t shirt places. Then my personal favourite ; doing unflattering pictures of someone's ex .Sit anywhere with a crowd and just get to work . Pow wows are great places to do and sell art the over head is low and the crowd big. I have been a self employed artist for 25 years ,so I have a idea the road you are taking .

Go door knocking and see if families want thier children or pets sketched.Show them some of your previous work,or get some pamphlets made up and do a letter box drop.Who knows you might be inundated with work.
