      Everyone has different interests diversity caters for all interests and people callaborating helps each other learn and diversify their own interests.

        I have worked with adults and kids for over 20 years.  The saddest thing is to see kids  that have been sheltered from other groups of people.  To answer your question.  Diversity is good for any environment.   When kids and adults can interact with others different from them, it make a monumental difference in their life awareness and ability to get along in a positive way with others.
