It depends on the job.  Once they hire you, they will give you the appropriate training.  Listen carefully and write things down so your trainer does not have to keep repeating the instructions.

It depends on the job, you may have to have a degree or diploma or be certified for some jobs. Some jobs the company can train you in house. It really helps to have some good COMMON sense also.
