What is everyone's thoughts on Gaddafi's death?

I have to say that killing someone no matter what they do seems harsh to me as I could never do that.  My thinking is that death that I caused would weigh on my soul.  However, I am here and it is a fairly peaceful place to live.

The people killed Gaddafi.  I think with the pain he inflicted, the true toll his country men and women paid for that man's hideous ego ... I have to say he got exactly what he deserved ... or maybe they should have let him rot in a prison cell so he could really feel.  I do hope that things improve and they can shut that chapter of history.

Yes killing is bad but sometimes a necessary act when one is so very evil. I say good riddance.

Fish girl, do you agree with killing a mad dog? A dog with rabies? Had he been allowed to live, his followers would have continued the war to have him reinstated. More would have died because of him. Killing him probably saved thousands. There is only one solution for mad dogs. You put them down.

Actually I would prefer if the man was left to live with rats and the most hideous bugs ... the kind that eat flesh ... if you really want to know. I think a quick death with a bit of groveling let the man off far too easy.

my opinion i think what goes around comes around, KARMA. After all that he did he got off lighty.

I think it's good that the people themselves were able to end his life.  Hopefully he will not be  replaced with  the same.

Let us hope so. truly let us hope so.

Depends on who governs the country now.

    Darci13

I suppose that is true but one can only hope that there is no one else that truly evil and so self absorbed to take his place again.

Unfortunely, Darci13 There is people as bad as he was and are still out there.

They lynched him. It would have been good to see him stand trial. But the world has got to be a better place without him.He has been a thorn in the side of North Africa & the middle East for 42 years. He won't be missed.

    Darci13

Tommy some people the only way to get them is to "lynch" them but I truly think he got what he deserved. The world and his country is a better place without him.

The world is better off without him for sure. His country is better off without him. Now, what will replace him is unknown. Hope they have better luck than Iraq. The Shiite ruler that's in charge now, is already hiring Turkish mercs to fight the Kurds in the North. It doesn't look good for Iraq.

I just hope the Americans don't have to suffer with sinking tons of taxpayer dollars into that place. I heard a brief segmant that Hillary already promised millions to them for recovery. Wish we would get out of this type of spending, too.

I'm sorry for  the way he died. I suppose he got his desserts, but it was harsh.

    Good riddence,   Amen.

Who's next his successor won't be any better they're already arguing amongst theirselves and he isn't cold yet

ding, dong  the witch is dead.....

For the people in Libya it is good that he is dead. But we dont know if his death is going to destabilize that country even more. The US. wants every country to be a democracy, but it wont happen for a long time, if ever.In the meantime we are are giving them money, that we need here in the US., more than they do.

The death of a cruel dictator is usually a good thing as well as a war coming to an end, but the problem now is going to be who steps into that vacuum of power? If the wrong leader('s) get into power it can destabilize the region for a long time, it seems that could be the case in Egypt as well.

If the country becomes another place to train the next generation of terrorists or if it becomes a democracy, we will have to wait and see I suppose. What looks like a good thing today may not look so good next month.

    Darci13

Sad to say Leeroy you are right. The world abounds with crazy as a fox dictators just waiting for the opportunity to step in on their power trip, sad to say.

Thanks Darci nice to hear from you hope you are doing well. The CIA usually has their interests in certain countries leaders, maybe they will support someone that is willing to start a democracy? I guess we'll find out if this support of the rebels was a good or bad thing in the near future, I hope it was a good decision...

Democracy doesn't seem to work that well over there. If we look at the liberators.. it's kind of scary, too. I heard they're selling off their shoulder missles. Who knows who's going to uprise next.
    Darci13

The truly sad thing is the people in those countries have been fighting since the beginning of time, they used to just throw rocks and stone each other to death. Comes to good old USA what happens they get missiles, bombs, automatic weapons to kill us with I say we never should have been there we should not be there and if they did not have the ammo they have now they would go back to throwing rocks and stoning each other to death again they always will.

i fell shock in the stomch bet he deserv that why becouse he was once a good person they he smelt power and i think he turn evil plus dont get mad at lest seria is ok fro now or something

I think it is disgusting the way he was killed and everyone celebrating even children.  People having their photo taken with his dead body.  I think they all need sectioning.

    Darci13

Maybe then they should have let Gaddafi come and live with you.

His own people dished out the justice in the end, that's one less evil bastard in the world. if he had been kept alive to stand trial he would only have spouted a load more shit as he did over last 40 years. No one would have got any sense out of him, or any confessions, It would not have made it any easier for the Lockabie famlies or Yvonne Fletchers family, or any of the other families of the hundreds or thousands of deaths he was responsible for.

    Darci13

You know I am glad he is dead also he deserved to die he was truly evil. Interesting note though it took him awhile to resurface back to his truly evilness after President Ronald Regan when he made threats against America I have to give Regan credit he didn't ask anybody anything he just sent a bomb to Gaddafi's house and bombed his home killing his family too bad he did not get him at that time also but it sure did keep him quite for quite a few years before this.

He got back what he put out. No mercy!  After being captured, he then knew how it felt begging for your life. I'm pretty sure he could see the hate the citizens had for him. The way the people were celebrating his death, taking pictures, and dancing in the streets was an awful sight to see. Gaddafi was an evil man with no compassion.  It makes me wonder if a person can be born this evil, or do they just turned that way over the years.

I am glad the people he ruled so cruelly were the ones to deal with him. Now I wish they would do something with his body. They have already done the deepest disrespect to him by not burying him within 24 hours, now is the time to dipose of him. I wonder if his Mother is still living, Does he have any family left who loved him? He was some bodies baby. I am not sorry he is dead I just think its time to move on,  and I feel bad for his family. I don't think he was crazy since he was born.

He followed Saddam by not going into exile and die in a pathetic manner. But his ego chose this path. hope Libya takes a peaceful transition.

    Darci13

That would be nice but I do not hold out any hope that that will ever happen. There is always a crazy dictator to rise up and take the place.

i thought country's were not suppose to kill leaders of other countries.  it is sad to me. but remember i hate war of any size shape or reason, unless a real threat like mean ufo's came down.
