How safe is asbestos plaster rendering in 1920's houses. My nephew has been told the house he wants to buy has this kind of rendering

My nephew is about to buy a house of this era but is now dubious becuase of health concerns and also if he is faltering is it likely that potential buyers will do teh same at the point in the years ahaed when he might want to resell.

The person with the higher karma posts above the lesser karma. That'd the way the app is set up.

Unless he can afford to pay a professional to remove it, I would stear clear of it.

It would be advisable to have the asbestos removed and disposed of professionally. IF it is viable do this, if not forget it.

Asbestos is bad news.  You don't want to immerse yourself, especially your lungs, in asbestos.

My ex-Mother-in-Law died of asbestos poisoning.  Melothelioma.  I wouldn't advise it.   yvonne57
