      I think it is determined by many factors.  Personal style, shape of face, the texture of the hair, thickness ... straight or curly ... all sorts.  I don't know one woman who likes her hair, myself included.  My hair drives me crazy.  Sometimes it wants to look like Kurt Cobain's and sometimes Tammy Wynette's ... what the heck is that?
