Some cats and dogs are actually allergic to fleas. My daughters cat takes like a benadrel from the vet. Good luck! She also uses a anti itch powder Gold Bond I think.

Can you tell Scottone how much benedryl to give the puppy or should he just guess and make the puppy sicker? How about you talk to the vet Scott. A yorkie has teeny tiny organs. They can not handle much.
I have used benadryl on my mini dachshund. You can buy it over the counter. I gave him one in the morning with his food .It is called Benadryl dye-free Allergy and has 24 liquid gels.
Thanks Ann. A dosage is helpful. My brother has a pit bull who suffers from hives and we had to weigh her and then call the vet with her weight to get the proper dosage.

Too much bathing is going to dry his skin out and irritate the rash. Quit bathing him! Your vet can give him a shot to ease the scratching. Take him to the vet and stop trying to self treat him. Do exactly what the vet tells you to do and not what a bunch of non vets tell you to do.
