The short answer, I think, is that watches are interesting. The longer answer is that they are interesting in so many different ways, that you can, in fact, spend your entire professional life (and an link embarrassing amount of your link non-professional life, for that matter) writing about watches, and thinking about watches, and learning about link watches.

You will also struggle to find a lot of other watches using the more expensive 904L steel at this price point. Despite a certain coroneted brand's advertising claims it is not a precious metal but its unique chemical makeup gives it exceptional corrosion resistance and a deep luster. The link engraved lume-filled ceramic bezel also link offers a welcome modern upgrade though with no upcoming saturation dives I don't see link the need for a Helium escape valve anytime soon.
